The Métis Journey
November 23, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Language, the arts, and culture are doorways through which we can learn about the Métis, who come from a strong, resilient culture.
About this event
Please join us on November 23, along with Métis Elder Edmee Comstock, for this afternoon of rich, in-depth discussions and engagement with Métis community members. We offer this opportunity to shed some light on the unique journey of Métis people who were once “hidden in plain sight” but are now proud Métis champions.
In the words of Métis leader Louis Riel: “My people will sleep for a hundred years, but when they awake, it will be the artists who give them their spirit back.”
